The May meeting will feature the IMS development team who will describe the status of the new Instructional Management System and respond to any questions and/or suggestions from the floor.

If time permits, we will open the floor to anyone who would like to comment on information from the Annual UC Administrative Management Professionals (AMP) or WACUBO meetings.

Coffee service will be available from 8:45am.

Instructional Management System


The focus of this presentation is to provide an update on progress of the Instructional Management System (IMS). This new application will enable departments, divisions and colleges to schedule classes.

The desired impact of this presentation is two-fold; first we would like to share info on the tool including features and timeline for roll-out and second, we would like to gather suggestions for successful faculty adoption of the tool.

Currently, each department, division and college send the Registrar their preferences for course scheduling. This system will provide a method for each department to schedule classes and submit information to the Registrar in a consistent format. This application will also mediate interaction between schedulers and faculty/instructors.
