Organized Research Unit Business Administrators (ORUBA) |
||
ORUBA (Organized Research Unit Business Administrators) was established in 1996-97 as a forum for UCSD's general campus Organized Research Unit and Multicampus Research Unit business officers to share news, receive critical training and updates, and discuss issues of common interest and concern. The Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research provides oversight to the group, acts as ORUBA’s representative to present its’ views and recommendations to the appropriate parties, and brings relevant campus and University topics to the group for discussion. ORUBA is further represented by a Chair and Vice Chair, who serve 1-year terms in their respective positions (not to exceed 2 years). The Chair organizes and presides over all meetings, while the Vice Chair serves in the absence of the Chair. At the end of the Chair's 1-year term, the Vice Chair assumes the outgoing Chair's position. On an annual basis, the members of ORUBA solicit nominations and vote for a new Vice-Chair from the ranks of the membership. 2006-07 ORUBA Chair: Diana Wilder, <dfwilder@ucsd.edu> 2006-07 ORUBA Vice Chair: Lori Guardiano-Durkin, <lguardianodurkin@ucsd.edu>
